The wedding flower checklist we give every couple

Nine to twelve months out, lock the date and venue before speaking to any florist. Everything else — palette, scale, whether the ceremony is indoors — flows from those two facts.
Six months out, decide the palette and choose whether you want in-season or imported blooms. Peonies in October are possible and they will cost roughly triple. That is a fine decision to make consciously and a painful one to discover late.
Three months out, finalise counts: bridal bouquet, bridesmaid bouquets, buttonholes, ceremony arrangements, table centrepieces, and anything for the entrance. Centrepieces are where budgets quietly triple, because the count multiplies with the guest list.
One month out, confirm delivery windows with the venue and identify who receives the flowers on the day. Nominate a person who is not the couple.
The night before, arrangements are built and conditioned in cold storage. Bouquets are assembled the morning of, never earlier, which is why your florist will sound calm until about 6am.
